PRODUCT TESTING PROGRAM
The bear-resistant products testing evaluation program has undergone some changes this year. In June of 2008, the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee endorsed a revised testing protocol that will provide more detailed information about the relative bear-resistancy of products tested through this program. Products are now rated (one, two or three stars) based upon the amount of time they have been able to withstand contact from captive grizzly bears.
